I kept the personal response but edited it a bit to read in third person

and the African Influence on Western Religion.
I took a Global Perspectives in music class which was boring but I loved it. My professor was like a professional musician that fused the Korean tradition of Samul nori and Black American Jazz. She was a wonderful teacher but people weren’t receptive because of her accent. Because of her experience fusing cultures she was really excited to read this and encouraged me so I kind of love it flaws and all

Vox Populi, Vox Dei
After I switched my major from journalism I ended up taking a creative writing class that was grounded in telling meaningful personal stories. Everything we wrote or shared would just lay us bare and while it was really vulnerable everyone treated it with seriousness and respect. I have a lot of pieces from that class that I love it’s just some are not as good and some I hold closer to my heart. This one was supposed to be about an aspect of yourself that conveys your relation with your identity.
