Open Book Midterm

I took an African American History course and We’d just read some W.E.B DuBois and our midterm assignment was something along the lines of being able to identify and surmise DuBois’ argument in our words and then do a bit of personal response to it. Vox Populi, Vox Dei

After I switched my major from journalism I ended up taking a creative writing class that was grounded in telling meaningful personal stories. Everything we wrote or shared would just lay us bare and while it was really vulnerable everyone treated it with seriousness and respect. I have a lot of pieces from that class that I love it’s just some are not as good and some I hold closer to my heart. This one was supposed to be about an aspect of yourself that conveys your relation with your identity.
